Peter Harris

Peter is an experienced litigation practitioner and has appeared in all superior Western Australian Courts. Peter was admitted in June 1981 after completing his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia and joined Ilberys in 1986. Peter practices in civil litigation, employment law, insurance and tort law. He has successfully conducted litigation at all levels within the Court system including the High Court, Supreme Court, Federal Court, District Court, Magistrates’ Court, State Administrative Tribunal, Coronial Court, Fair Work Commission and Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

Peter has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation and has appeared as Counsel at trial on many occasions. He also has gained considerable experience in opinion work and negotiated outcomes over his 36 year career.

Michael gresham

Michael has worked in the legal industry for over 12 years with organisations such as Legal Aid and Gibson & Gibson (now part of Slater & Gordon). Michael completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia (including a semester at the University of Ottawa, Canada) and was admitted in February 2009. He joined Ilberys in March 2010. After being the WA State Manager of a national firm for a year, Michael returned to Ilberys as a Director in 2016  and is a current board member and former Vice Chairperson of the Board of Management for Kolbe Catholic College.

Michael’s client base is diverse, with clients ranging from international corporations to local government and charities to individuals.  Initially working in the areas of Family and Succession Law, upon joining Ilberys Michael expanded his practice to include commercial disputes, employment law, insolvency, personal injury matters and general litigation. 

Michael has experience appearing in the majority of Courts and regularly appears in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, Family Court, Federal Court and Fair Work Commission.
